Noah Weissman — Founder
Noah Weissman is the founder of PlayForward LA Foundation and a sophomore at Shalhevet High School. Born and raised in West Los Angeles, Noah grew up playing both soccer and basketball, ultimately developing a deep passion for basketball. He has competed at the AAU level and now plays at the high school level, continuing to build both his skills and love for the game.
Beyond playing, Noah is committed to giving back through sports. During the summer, he works at a basketball camp where he helps teach younger kids and share his enthusiasm for the game. Through this experience, he has seen firsthand the impact that sports can have on confidence, discipline, and personal growth.
In addition to athletics, Noah has a strong interest in business. From a young age, he has been curious about how organizations operate and what drives success. This past summer, he gained hands-on experience working with a real estate acquisition and development company, where he assisted with cap tables and learned more about the business side of investments and growth.
It was through this combination of experiences that the idea for PlayForward LA Foundation was born. Noah recognized that in Los Angeles, the high cost of living often prevents many kids from participating in club sports—an opportunity that had a meaningful impact on his own life. Wanting to combine his passion for sports and business, he created PlayForward LA Foundation to help provide access to those opportunities for youth who might not otherwise have them.
Through PlayForward LA Foundation, Noah is working to expand access to youth sports across Los Angeles by providing sponsorships for club soccer and basketball. The foundation partners with local programs to ensure funds are used directly for participation costs, with the goal of helping more kids experience the confidence, discipline, and community that sports can provide.
